Man Utd closing in on Arsenal's Thomas Vermaelen

By : Unknown

Manchester United are favourites to bag Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen, reports suggesting that they will outbid Barca.
The Catalan Club offered £10million for the Arsenal captain this week.
The Daily Mail reports that Manchester United are set to outbid them with a £15million offer after Barcelona looked set to land the player.
Arsenal would be selling to Manchester United for the sake of extra cash, since they'll have to splash out some bucks for replacement, though they would have preferred selling him abroad.
United are confident of signing Thomas Vermaelen this summer after giving up trying to secure Borussia Dortmund & Germany's World Cup winning star Mats Hummels.

Yaya Sanogo: Netted four times as Arsenal strolled to a big win

Alexis Sanchez provided a glimpse of the anticipation built around his arrival worth £35 million at Arsenal, but the Chilean Forward's contribution was dominated by a Stellar performance by Yaya Sanogo who scored as many as 4 times in the first 47 minutes, in the process catching even Arsene Wenger, the Manager by surprise!

Sanchez’s contribution was little, everybody could see the lad is keen to make an instant impression on his new club, immediately displaying a series of dynamic & twisting runs that stood up to the roaring capacity crowd.
He made a late appearance in the Game but, by then Benfica were utterly dejected & he gets  a longer opportunity to play himself in Monaco on Sunday.
Joel Campbell, the Costa Rica Forward, netted the other Goal which was the 2nd on Arsenal's scoreline.
But the night belonged to the French Sensation, Yaya Sanogo, who was simply Ruthless & Devastating.
