RR and KKR face-off in virtual Quarter-Final

Venue: Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
Time: 20:00 IST

Both teams find themselves in this spot thanks to their sloppy work. KKR lost to Mumbai in a match they had almost won while on the other hand, poor death bowling has led RR to a position where they have to battle for survival after winning their first 5 games.

Players to watch out for:

RR- Its time for Shane Watson to step up and show the world the kind of firepower he possesses in a crunch game. He is expected to lead the batting attack from the front aggressively.

KKR- Gautam Gambhir has had a pretty good tournament till now. He forms a formidable opening partnership with Uthppa. Excpect him to get at least 40-odd in this match also. MAnish Pandey will however, continue struggling.
PRINCE's Prediction: RR upset KKR in a tight game

CSK face an upbeat KXIP in the last game of the season for both the teams.

Venue: PCA Stadium, Mohali.
Time: 16:00 IST

KXIP defeated hot favorites RCB in their previous outing, denting RCB's chances to make the play-offs at Mohali.

CSK travel to Mohali after a shock defeat from the Delhi Daredevils. A win here would solidify CSK's top spot .

Players to watch out for:

KXIP- Axar Patel, the best and most consistent player for them Kings this season. Be it with the bat or ball, he comes in handy some way or the other.

CSK- Suresh Raina has had a dismal campaign by his standards. Expect him to turn around the fortunes just before the play-offs begin. A good batting pitch at Mohali will also suit him.
PRINCE's Prediction: CSK win comfortably

The KFC Big Bash League never fails to amuse us, delivering on its promise of total entertainment, one way or another!

Meet Jake Reed, Right Arm Medium Pacer making his Big Bash League debut won't forget this start for a very, very long time. Reed was picket to represent Hobart Hurricanes for the first time against the Brisbane Heat & his start was.... whatever you may say, memorable! :)

Reed finished with figures of 1/41 from 4 Overs, thanks to a rampage by Heat openers Jimmy Peirson (57 off 35) and Peter Forrest (62 off 43) with Dan Christian smashing 34 off 9. Heat finished with 208 on the board after 20 Overs.

But Hurricanes chased down the daunting target with one over to spare after an explosive opening by Ben Dunk (67 off ) & Tim Paine (55 off 25) rattling up 120 runs in 9 overs. George Bailey ensured there were no hiccups in the end with a 12 ball 28*.

Scorecard

What comes to mind when you look at the scoreline in a T20 match, the team chasing needs 12 runs off the last 2 deliveries?
Impossible, Improbable to say the least.

But Mitchell Marsh, the exceptionally talented Australian All-Rounder achieved the impossible feat in a Champions League T20 group stage match for Australia's Perth Scorchers against South Africa's Dolphins.

Earlier, Dolphins overcame a top-order collapse to put up a fighting total of 164/7 on the board after winning the toss & choosing to bat.

March was awarded Man-of-the-Match for his innings of 40 off 26 balls.
Dolphins themselves hammered 67 runs in the last 6 overs of their innings.

Simon Katich, captain of Perth Scorchers has announced his retirement from T20 cricket, drawing the final curtain on a distinguished career. Now a player development co-ordinator for AFL team Greater Western Sydney Giants, He says his retirement is effective immediately, meaning he won't join the Scorchers at this year's Champions League tournament in India from September.
His decision is based on family reasons, as Katich & his wife Georgie are expecting a second child in the near future. "I have a young family, I've had a great run & for my last game at the WACA, my home ground, to be a win in a successful campaign is the stuff you dream of,". "I'll finish on a high and that was a big part of the reason I decided to pull up stumps." he said.

Only Ross Taylor (21) offered much resistance as the tourists lost their last 6 wickets for 13 runs with Cottrell and Narine to the fore.
Left-arm fast bowler Cottrell took 3-28 while off-spinner Narine grabbed 2-19 from 4 miserly overs.
Simmons and Fletcher, who notched his second straight half century, set up West Indies' competitive total after they were sent in to bat. The right-handed pair shared a 2nd wicket stand of 66 in 52 balls.
There were aggressive contributions in the lower order as well as the West Indies smashed 56 runs off the last 5 overs.
