Steven Finn gets England Recall ahead of 4th Test
By : UnknownPacer called in as a replacement for Plunkett
Steven Finn had what can be described as a horrific time Down Under over the winter, with his bowling falling to the point where he became un-selectable, despite England suffering an Ashes humiliation.
The 6 foot 7 inches tall lad has shown signs of his best form for Middlesex on return this season, doing just enough to convince England selectors he deserves his chance on the international stage once again, with Liam Plunkett suffering from an ankle problem.
"Liam Plunkett experienced some left ankle discomfort at the end of the second Investec Test and will miss the fourth Test as this continues to settle," said the England and Wales Cricket Board's official website.
"He will be replaced by Steven Finn in the squad for the upcoming Test at Emirates Old Trafford."
Paul George recovering after Horrific Injury
By : Unknown"Our initial discussions with our doctors and the doctors in Las Vegas have us very optimistic," Pacers president Larry Bird stated.
"We are hopeful at some point next week Paul will return to Indianapolis to continue his recovery."
George, the Pacers' star player, suffered an open fracture of the tibia & fibula bones in his lower right leg, USA Basketball said, when he contested a layup attempt by Houston Rockets' James Harden in a practice game on Friday in Las Vegas.
The game was cancelled and George had surgery later that night.
"I'll be ok and be back better than ever!!!" George said on Twitter.
U.S. media speculated that because of the seriousness of the injury it could be months before George is back on his feet and that his 2014-15 season could be in jeopardy.
Bird declined to comment on a time-frame for George's return to the court.
"Our first thoughts are with Paul and his family," said NBA great Bird. "It is way too early to speculate on his return as the No. 1 priority for everyone will be his recovery."
