Messi on cover of FIFA 15

Lionel Messi will be gracing the cover of EA Sports' FIFA 15, and it will be the 3rd consecutive year the Argentine great has graced the front of a soccer video game, and the 7th overall.
Messi, who bagged the World Cup 2014 Golden Ball as the tournament's best player despite the fact that he could not save Argentina from losing in the final of FIFA World Cup, appeared on the cover of FIFA 13 & FIFA 14. He was also the cover star for Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer from 2009 to 2011.
Messi, argueably the best player in the world, scored 28 goals for FC Barcelona this season & then 4 in the World Cup.
FIFA 15, scheduled to be launched on Sept. 23 for PS3, PS4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 & Xbox One, is trying to implement the new "emotional intelligence" to create more real lifelike reactions in the players. FIFA 15 will have more advanced ball physics and team tactics.

Lionel Messi has won the Fifa Golden Ball as the best player of World Cup 2014.
Messi, who won four man of the match awards throughout the tournament but did not influence the final against Germany in Rio de Janeiro in the way that he would have liked, was chosen from a 10-player list of candidates who were announced on the eve of the final, with seven of the nominees coming from the finalists, Argentina and Germany.
His man of the match performances came early in the competition against Switzerland, Nigeria, Iran and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Aside from Messi, Argentina had two nominees – Ángel di María and Javier Mascherano. Germany provided four candidates: Mats Hummels, Toni Kroos, Philipp Lahm and Thomas Müller.

James Rodriguez wins World Cup 2014 Golden Boot

Colombia star James Rodriguez has been rewarded for his sensational goalscoring exploits at World Cup 2014 with the Golden Boot.

The attacking midfielder was the breakout star in Brazil, inspiring his side to a first ever appearance in the quarter-final stage by netting six times in just five games.


Four years after claiming the Golden Boot in South Africa, Thomas Muller was forced to settle for silver this time around.
