Netherlands were made to struggle against Mexico to reach the last eight of the ongoing 2014 World Cup, where they are scheduled to fight against Costa Rica later tonight for a spot in the final four. The two teams have been impressive in the competition so far with no losses under their belt.
Netherlands have been one of the best teams, where they defeated teams such as Spain and Chile to progress in the competition. Costa Rica's progression into the knock out stages were not expected, as they were pitted in a tough group, which included Italy, England and Uruguay as well. Italy and England were the surprise exits from the group, but one has to say Costa Rica deserved their place as well.
On paper, it could be an easy outing for the Dutch, but how can they take Costa Rica lightly when they defeated teams such as Italy and Uruguay. So, they do not fear playing against top sides and in fact come up with their best game.
For Costa Rica to succeed, Joel Campbell needs to be on top of his game. He has been the outstanding player for Costa Rica, ripping defenses apart and making life tougher for opponents. His pace and strength has made him a force to be reckoned with.

Unlike, Costa Rica, the Dutch have many star players in their ranks, who could help the Oranje reach the last eight. Robben, Sneijder and Van Persie have been the standout performers in the competition. In fact, Robben has caught the eye of the world with his exploits, and also his diving, which was criticised by experts in Brazil. But, it was his dive, which earned Netherlands a penalty, thus a winner in the tough fixture.
Neutrals would love an underdog like Costa Rica to progress into the final four, but, if Netherlands play half as good as they did against Spain, thrashing 5-1, Netherlands would inch more closer
