India tour of England 2014

England vs England bowling spearhead James Anderson has been charged under Level 3 of the ICC Code of Conduct for allegedly "abusing & pushing Ravindra Jadeja" on the 2nd day of the 1st Investec Test at Nottingham.
Anderson faces a ban of at least 2 Tests if he is found guilty as the minimum punishment for a Level 3 violation is 4 suspension points & 2 equates to missing 1 Test. He now faces a hearing which will take place within 14 days.
The complaint wasn't brought by the umpires but by the Indian team manager, Sunil Dev, who lodged the complaint only after confirming the incident with captain MS Dhoni, other players and coach Fletcher. Players from both sides could be called to give evidence at the hearing.
"Dhoni & everyone complained that he physically touched Jadeja and pushed him. It was all over the dressing room," Dev said. "It is serious matter only because you can't push anybody. So I put in a complaint with the match referee."
"All Level 3 breaches carry a penalty of between four and eight suspension points. 2 suspension points equates to a ban of 1 Test, or 2 ODIs, depending on which type of match is scheduled next for the suspended player."
